How I wish “HelloFresh” was around when my children were little or when I was studying for my MBA. They have managed to come up with a concept that is pretty near perfect. Nutshell version is you pick a box which might be “Classic” which means it has a mixture of meal types, or “Vegetarian” (self explanatory I think) or “Family” which they’ve entitled “crowd pleasers.” You can choose 3, 4 or 5 meals for 2 to 5 people depending on the box which is delivered to you free of charge at an ingredients cost lower than Sainsbury’s, Ocado or Tesco.
The photo above shows Kirsty preparing our first meal from Hello Fresh. Both she and Hello Fresh are such stars that Mark and I were able to rock up at ridiculous o’clock on Monday night after looking after Mark’s parents and hey presto lovely fresh meal prepared with very little effort on our part.
Its actually a subscription, so you sign up and pick your box on a weekly basis or choose the same box each week as the recipes generic gabapentin picture change every time. You never have to feel locked in though, as you can opt out, pause if you’re going on holiday, swap meals or entire boxes. It really is designed to work with your particular needs.
Each meal comes with a recipe card with step by step instructions accompanied with photographs. There is no wastage as each ingredient is sent in exactly the amount you need.
A huge appeal for me is the fact that the ingredients are responsibly sourced. Many are organic, and the vegetables incorporated into the recipes are seasonal and therefore fresher.
The packaging is appealing and well thought out. So, all the little bits to accompany the various meals are cleverly stored in a small box, while the things that need to be kept cold are really well wrapped with icepacks and insulated materials. They seriously have taken all the brain ache out of getting solid meals into your life which are innovative, healthy and exciting.

May 19, 2015 at 11:01 amThanks so much for trying us out guys! Your positive feedback means the world to us! It doesn’t seem all that long ago that we were working out of my living room and so every time someone enjoys what we do it still makes us smile the same way it did on day 1! We’re constantly chipping away to make it better too…. that ‘damn near perfect’ will hopefully be ‘perfect’ some day! 🙂

May 19, 2015 at 12:38 pmThank you so much for giving us the opportunity to work with you. I hope it will not be the last. That “pretty near perfect” comes from my teaching background where only God and the teacher are ever perfect. You also give me hope as I am still working out of my home kitchens in London and St. Lucia…..who knows what’s next…. 🙂
